Opportunity to participate in Fall 2025 Stream Work:
September 23, 2025 (Tuesday) at 5 pm. Keene Creek. Meet at Keene Creek Park off Morris Thomas Rd
October 11, 2025 (Saturday) at 10 am. Uskabwanka River. Meet at Munger-Shaw Rd (225) Taft, Big pool #2
Work will involve clearing competing vegetation from around trees and their cages primarily with loppers both days and includes planting 10 spruce trees at Uskabwanka. Bring loppers if you have them and wear sturdy work cloths. ________________
May 20th – 7 members planted about 25 trees on the Uskabwanka River. This involved relocating cages from previous tree plantings.
May 24th – 5 members, DNR and a class of 3rd Graders from Silver Bay, MN stocked Rainbows into Divide Lake. This annual event replenished the lake with over 200 healthy fish carried by students in their buckets, down the stairs and into the lake.
